About the Author
Where to start? I have possessed a love of writing since I was little. I cannot tell you how many notebooks I have written short stories, poems, or even just notes and ideas in. While most of those notebooks have, sadly, been lost over the years I still have a couple and love going through and seeing how my younger self wrote.

Reading was, of course, a driving force for my writing. While I loved all books, I always gravitated towards fantasy. I was drawn to the magic, the lives, the adventure that came with it. Leaving this world behind for one that held magical secrets was something I could not resist. Even going so far as to take a book everywhere I went. Including, shamefully, any party or sleepover I attended...
As I got older, the books stayed home more and more. But the less I lived in another author's world, the more my own stories pressed their way into my mind; the characters growing, the world taking form. It soon became difficult to focus on much else. And so I wrote, I put the first words of Immortal Sands onto paper. A year later, I published my first novel.

I have since learned to balance my two loves, reading and writing, with each other as well as with a full time job.
